Our long-running Rural Rhythms program will wind up on 30 June as part of our organisational restructure.

While it’s difficult to say goodbye to a program that has brought so much joy, it seems this cloud has a silver lining. We’re pleased to share that we have found a new and loving home for each of our 12 drums.

Mr B and Fay – two of Rural Rhythms’ longest serving participants – will each receive a drum so they can continue making music.

An additional five drums will go to a new disability service provider based in Kingaroy. KOKOrdination plans to continue the Rural Rhythms tradition, delivering the therapeutic benefits of drumming to individuals, community groups and businesses in the region.

The final five drums will be donated to Centacare Kingaroy, where they will undoubtedly be put to good use.
