1 in 5 Australians will have a mental health problem in any one year.
In rural and remote Australia that ratio can rise to 1 in 4 or even 1 in 3.
This course aims to raise mental health awareness, improve understanding, reduce stigma, and provide relevant, practical information to maintain mental well-being.
Before you were able to log in today, you were sent a registration email including a pre-training survey link. The information we gather through our training surveys helps us learn how effective the lessons were and identify areas for improvement.
If you haven’t already, we ask that you complete the survey before getting started.
Now you’re ready to get started.
- This course has 6 lessons and numerous topics. You’ll move through the order they appear in the menu.
- To complete topics, click the ‘mark complete’ button. This will allow you to move forward. Once you complete a topic you will see a tick appear in the menu and ‘complete’ appear at the top of the page.
- We have included 3 short quizzes in this course. You need to pass each quiz to complete the course. The questions relate to what you have learned in respective lessons. You can attempt each quiz as many times as you need. If you’re not sure about an answer, you can always review the lesson.
Many of us may know someone who may be living with mental illness, struggling with suicidal thoughts, or who may have died by suicide. Despite the strengths you have, we are not immune to the challenges. If there are moments throughout training or afterwards, we remind you to take care of yourself. So if you need to take a break from this course and come back, your progress will be recorded.
