Lesson ComponentsThere are small differences between how much sleep each individual needs, but the average adult needs about 8 hours each night (use the slide showing age and required sleep).
Devices such as mobile phones emit blue light that adversely affects sleep quantity and quality. You should stop using computers and mobiles for at least 45 minutes before going to bed.
Sleep is critical prior to learning because it helps prepare the brain. Quality sleep after learning increases the retention and effectiveness.
