2023-24 Community Workshop Support Program
Funding pool of $60,000 available
RRMH is pleased to announce that a funding pool of $60,000 is available across the 2023-24 financial year to support accredited Rural Minds presenters to deliver Community Workshops in regions affected by the 2019-2020 bushfires.
The Community Workshop Support Program aims to:
- Promote the delivery of Rural Minds Community Workshops
- Provide funding assistance to deliver workshops in bushfire affected areas
- Improve community awareness of risks to mental wellbeing
- Improve community understanding of pathways for help
Each successful applicant will receive funding up to the value of $1,000 GST exclusive.
Funding will support events being held from 1 October 2023 to 30 April 2024 inclusive. Funding will not be available for workshops that have already been run.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are:
- Self-employed accredited Rural Minds Presenters with an ABN
- Non-government organisations with accredited Rural Minds Presenters
Accredited Rural Minds Presenters must have delivered 2 or more Rural Minds Community Workshops in the past 12 months or complete the online Rural Minds Refresher Training course which will be available from 1 November 2023.
Eligible events are:
- Rural Minds Community Workshops with a minimum of 4 participants
- Delivered in a local government area affected by the 2019-2020 bushfires
Ineligible events are:
- Workshops with 3 or less participants
- Workshops that receive other funding support
- Workshops delivered outside of the list of bushfire affected local government areas
- Workshops delivered prior to 1 October 2023
- Workshops delivered after 30 April 2024
Funding
Successful applicants will receive funding up to the value of $1,000 (GST exclusive):
- $600 (GST exclusive) to compensate accredited Presenters for their time to plan and deliver a Rural Minds Community Workshop.
- Other Community Workshop expenses will be reimbursed upon evidence of expenditure, eg receipts or tax invoices.
Accredited Rural Minds Presenters must have delivered 2 or more Rural Minds Community Workshops in the past 12 months or complete the online Rural Minds Refresher Training course which will be available from 1 November 2023.
In addition to funding, successful applicants will receive up to 20 Rural Minds Community Workshop training packs at no charge, including postage and handling (valued up to $425).
Eligible Workshop expenses do not include administrative time and business operating expenses, eg rent, telephone, insurance, etc.
Conditions
- Attendance at Community Workshops must be free of charge for participants.
- Rural Minds Presenters must complete and return the Presenter report to RRMH.
- Rural Minds Presenters must ensure that all workshop participants complete a workshop evaluation.
- Funding will be paid in full upon completion of the Presenter Report and return of participant evaluation forms and evidence of expenditure.
- RRMH must be acknowledged in all marketing and promotional materials, in accordance with the RRMH style guide.
- All funded workshops will be listed on the RRMH website.
